How to Leg Cradle

Exercise Families: Warm Up

Equipment: Bodyweight

Trainer: Ashley Steele

Steps:

  1. Stand in good posture with the back straight, knees unlocked, arms at the sides. Squat back and down on the right leg and lift the left foot off the ground.

  2. Contract the right glute as you grab below the left knee with the left hand, grab under the left ankle with the right hand. Straighten the right leg as you gently tug the left knee toward the chest until you feel a stretch.

  3. Release the left leg, return to the starting position and repeat the movement with the right leg. Continue alternating between legs for the specified amount of time or repetitions.

  4. Leg cradles are a great exercise used as a dynamic stretch or warm-up for the lower body.
